Thirty-third Session of the General Assembly, United Nations Headquarters, New York: Secretary-General Kurt Waldheim presenting awards for distinguished service against apartheid. The recipients of the awards are: Reverend Canon L. John Collins, Canon of St. Paul's Cathedral and President of the International Defense and Aid Fund for Southern Africa; Mr. Michael Manley, Prime Minister of Jamaica; General Murtala Mohamed*, former Head of State of Nigeria; Mr. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru*, former Prime Minister of India; Mr. Kwame Nkrumah*, former President of Ghana; Mr. Olof Palme, former Prime Minister of Sweden; and Mr. Paul Robeson*, singer, actor and leader in the struggle against racism.
