This presentation will give an overview of the work of the Treaty Section of the Office of Legal Affairs in the Secretariat of the United Nations related to the depositary functions of the Secretary-General of the United Nations with respect to the more than 530 multilateral treaties deposited with him. This makes the United Nations by far the largest depositary of treaties in the world.
