The International
Law Commission undertakes its work each session on the basis of
documentation prepared either by the various Special Rapporteurs
or by its Secretariat. Such documentation includes the reports
of the Special Rapporteurs, Secretariat studies, Secretary-General
reports and, in recent sessions, an annual topical summary of
the debate in the Sixth Committee of the General Assembly, prepared
by the Secretariat.
