5. A notification of denunciation by the Government of Pakistan was received by the Secretary-General on 9 July 1965. It should be noted, however, that the Government of Pakistan, not having previously notified its succession to the Convention, was not, under the international practice to which the Secretary-General adheres to as the depositary of multilateral treaties, considered at that time as a party to the Convention.
