1. The Agreement was amended by the Protocol signed at Lake Success, New York, on 11 December 1946.
2. The Republic of Viet-Nam had succeeded to the Convention on 11 August 1950. In this regard and in regard to the successions by Cambodia and the Lao People's Democratic Republic, see note 19 in chapter VI.2.

4. Czechoslovakia, by virtue of its definitive signature on 11 December 1946 of the Protocol of 11 December 1946 amending the Convention of 1931, became a party to the Convention on the date of that signature. See also note 11 in chapter I.2.
